Founded in 1926, SCOA Nigeria PLC is a publicly traded conglomerate headquartered in Lagos, operating across automotive, road construction, mining, agriculture, and industrial air systems. The company is the exclusive distributor of several globally renowned brands, offering equipment, vehicles, technical support, leasing, and after-sales service.

SCOA Motors, a core subsidiary, represents MAN Trucks & Buses in Nigeria, providing vehicle sales, parts, and maintenance solutions tailored to the local market. Beyond equipment distribution, SCOA also delivers construction and infrastructure solutions, including subcontracting and turnkey projects for public and private clients.

As a subsidiary of SCOA International S.A., the company combines international standards with nearly a century of local experience. Listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (ticker: SCOA), SCOA employs around 95–100 staff and is recognized for its innovation, technical expertise, and commitment to service excellence.

1926
Establishment

SCOA Nigeria is founded in  Lagos, beginning with the import and distribution of construction equipment and general trading.

1940s–1950s
Entry into Automotive Sector

Launch of the automotive division, which evolves into SCOA Motors, later becoming the exclusive distributor for MAN Trucks & Buses in Nigeria.

1970s
Agricultural Equipment Division Introduced

SCOA begins supplying tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems, helping to advance Nigeria’s mechanized agriculture.

1980s–1990s
Expansion into Mining & Quarry Equipment

The company adds heavy duty equipment for mining, quarrying, and construction sectors, partnering with international brands.

2000s–Present
Industrial Compressors & Air Systems

SCOA expands into industrial air solutions, offering compressors, generators, and energy efficient systems to serve Nigeria’s growing industrial demand.
